Ryo
Just curious how easy is it to break the fins off of a Reising 50. I read about it, but never really seen any posts about it. Just wondering if someone here has experienced it or knows for sure it did happen to someone they know.
StrangeRanger
Seen a couple. Here's the quick fix. I put one on mine before it broke http://www.bullcreekarms.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=77&product_id=64 The stock comp has a .069" wall thickness, the Bull Creek has .131" but the exterior dimensions are the same Edited November 18, 2020 by StrangeRanger
copdoc
I've seen several break. I made one out of 1020 thick wall tube. Note, I'm not a machinist. I opened the ports up a bit after the pics were taken. It's not perfect but I doubt if it breaks. I'll get measurements and thread pitch if you want. vern21
Blew one last year after 5k rounds once in my possession. Had a huge pit in my gut until I looked at the guy shooting it. Same look everyone has; ear to ear grin. I cant count the number of people that had never fired a mg prior to shooting mine. More than worth whatever value the blown muzzle brake costs. I bought it to shoot and have fun. It has been just that for all that shoot it.

It only took us about 5 hours. It looks great now. Dan
StrangeRanger
You'd have to ask Gotuzi that question, he's the one who fitted it for me. I know he had more trouble getting the old one (with 65 years of carbon deposits baked on) removed intact from the barrel than he had getting the new one on
