  1. Love this post! Thank you for posting. Probably one of the most informative and interesting this so far on the topic. Especially liked how your friend told the govt to pound sand! An amnesty is just that, an amnesty.....no questions asked! Maybe one day you can tell us on how you came by acquiring the M2!
  2. Ah....he wanted folks input, whether it may seem pointless to you is besides the point. He started a topic and invited critics. He knows where the interference in the parts are. Solidworks easily identifies that for the user. His model is impressive and I am sure it took many many hours to create.
  3. Not a bad video at all! Pretty well done and informative for enthusiasts just starting to learn about the Thompson. A lot of good close ups and shooting demos.
  4. Which two are you referring to? Funny stuff there. All three, my mistake. I use a front half of a WW2 Thompson receiver as my test bed.
  5. Bought one it it screws on both a semi auto Kahr thompson, WW2 Thompson, and a Philadelphia ord receiver no problem.
  6. Not if you are well within the yield strength of the material.
  7. I thought Anniston puts more letters than that like on our rebuilt WW2 M2s.
  8. One of the guns was lost overboard .....yea right. One of the patrol officers most likely kept it for himself rather than return it.
  9. Looks to be the shadowing along with a closed bolt that may be throwing the perspective off. Otherwise looks fine to me.
  10. AOC figured this out long ago along with others. Why is the Army acting like this is revolutionary? From what I understand they are patenting this design for the M4. I assume its because it is spiral and therefore has more surface area? When AOC decided to omit fins, did it make a difference?
  11. Looks like the foreign Attache in the landing craft has his helmet on backwards.
  12. So let me ask a deferent question. Is it a problem or has it been a problem using the slightly tighter chambers? The replacement barrel I had gotten from IMA a year or so ago seems to work well with no issues. Not sure who supplied their new barrels.
  13. If you read the book Last Stand of Fox Company, the author states that the Chinese rushing their positions were just about all armed with Thompson SMGs. Mostly M1s I think.
  14. Happens all the time with small businesses who manually count their inventories. At the Front runs into this same problem when a worker miscounted the amount on hand from time to time. Then the customer bashes them online and demands the product that doesnt exist. It sounds like someone has their feelings hurt because they werent quicker on the trigger to buy.
  15. Appears to be the 9mm version M1 Thompson that the AOC was experimenting with during the war.
  16. Great restoration and great explanation of your work and story!
  17. The Thompson was totally broke down and preserved. I believe the wood set was sent to Tracie for a good cleaning. Maybe he will comment on this thread and shed some light.
