  1. You are on the list my friend. Where in PA are you located? Effort, in the West End of the Poconos. Just North of Broadheadsville.
  2. Does anyone know where the thread is about the newer C drum serial number chart? The one that listed if the serial number was on both sides of the drum or one? I cant find it using the search feature.
  3. He claims that it has a 50 rd drum, but it's marked "X" 10 round.
  4. Were those transferable sears full auto only or is this a Connecticut gun?
  5. Well maybe people like myself have a M1 SBR and a 28 Westie MG that already have a stamp.
  6. Yes, it can be done. When I SBRd my M1 I removed the original barrel which no one is going to buy. I then cut and crowned the barrel, machine the end for a bushing so that I could install the original sight. I'll look for pics and post when I can.
  7. Yes, remove from the top, which will lower the mag. I did mine on my M1 SBR, but don't have pics handy.
  8. Heck yeah, I would buy a threaded barrel or two from them with the front sight to go on mine.
  9. did you mail in the order, he works by check only Read post 66, he cashed the check.
  10. It would have been nice to include more close up pics of the rest of the gun especially in this price range.
  11. I found the Biggerhammer 50 cal board back in late 1999 and was a regular for many years.
  12. Years ago someone stole three of my Thompson videos from my myspace account, which was set to private, and put them on his youtube account.
  13. Don't worry, Ruben will be adjusting his prices shortly.
  14. Sure, maybe someone tried to replace the barrel without the proper tools. Lots of morons that call themselves gunsmiths. Could have been a nOObie machinist at the factory.
  15. My WH 1928 is a 1983 model and runs great with all of the original parts.
  16. PK started the whole "eating itself to pieces", that's when the fear mongering started and has been perpetuated by all of his followers. Especially the guys that have dumped the thousands into their guns so they want every other West Hurley owner to do the same. That's why he does not advertise his services. Also that BS statement of: "If you buy a West Hurley, figure on getting the price dropped $3K for PKs service". Not every WH will need that supposed service. If someone was to buy mine and wanted a $3K drop in price I would tell them to F themselves as there is nothing wrong with the locking slots and it does not have the mythical bowed receiver.
  17. Fear mongering by a certain person so you will spend $3000+ on your WH Thompson. I have spoke to other WH owners that feel the same way. Yes, there was an issue with people using speed bolts that did cause cracks in the receivers. Plus there were the TF serial number receiver that started life as a .22 then were converted to 45. and the slots in those receivers were machined a bit different to allow the bolt to cycle easier with .22 ammo. Other than that most WH will run fine for life as is from the factory.
  18. Since there is a number of head stamps, are those reloads? If so, I would guess a bit too hot.
  19. You are absolutely wrong with the bolded statement. YOU need to cite the specific statute that claims if you mark the barrel, then wear out and replace the barrel, that you are making a new SBR. Yes, YOU need to prove this statement. The receiver is the main registered component of the SBR hence the reason why all of the makers information EXCEPT the serial number can be on the barrel. The serial number MUST be on the receiver. Yes, you can put a 16" barrel on a SBR and cross state lines without paperwork, but that does not remove the status of the receiver from the NFA registry. So now the ball is in your court to find the exact statute in the NFA handbook that states if the barrel of a SBR is replaced you need to re-register the receiver. Like the old saying goes: Nut up or shut up.
  20. Yep and the West Hurley fear mongering continues. If its running fine, keep shooting it.
  21. Kahr adds $600 to the base price for the SBR model. Just for doing the ATF paperwork and installing the short barrel instead of the 16" tube.. That's why I SBR'd mine myself.
  22. Me too. I first saw it back in the 1960s. I saw it again earlier this year. I liked how they used a B25 for transportation.
  23. We found that Kahr stopped the double serial number in the mid 1100 serial number range.
