  1. With permission, offering for sale an original magazine for a Colt Thompson. No dents. Message me with any questions or additional photos. Lower 48 states only please. Will ship USPS. $75.00 Shipped or best offer.
  2. A friend of mine is looking for a 1930s bullet proof vest to purchase. He needs it for a display at a museum. Let me know if anyone wants to sell. Does not have to be in great shape. Thank you.
  3. Hans I believe Larry Wack mentioned #3854 before. If my notes are correct, he said it was connected to the Barkers somehow. He may have documents.
  4. In the bottom pic is the 1921A that belonged to Kelly. The Winchester belonged to Harvey Bailey and seized at the Shannon farm raid. There were two 1911's seized at the farm too. One belonged to Bailey and old man Shannon claimed the other. Senator Grady Woodruff, who represented RG Shannon petitioned the government for the 1911 and Kelly's Thompson. Of course the petition didn't work. Kelly left one 1911 at Biloxi Mississippi when he left that town in a hurry and there was one more seized in Memphis. I have one original press photo of the guns but it doesn't give the serial numbers so I can't tell which are in the above photo. Of course Kelly's Thompson had its front grip replaced with the 1923 type. Also, if you look close at the stock, you can see a sling swivel on it. Was it added or is that a Navy type stock? Only Jacob Klar knows for sure.
  5. Interesting memo on serial number 7669. Anyone know the location of this one? Kelly would later tell the Feds that he purchased his Thompson from Ferris J. Anthone that was later killed in a shoot out with police.
  6. If I remember correctly I think that photo was taken in 1996 or 1997. Of course the movie car pictured hasn't been back to Gibsland in several years. Riding in that car with Boots was one of my best memories with him. Ken Holmes was an awesome man too.
  7. Boots was a very good man and a wealth of knowledge. He had many many friends and will be missed.
  8. Thank you to Dan Block for my Machine~Gun Kelly Thompson look-a-like. It looks very close to a match to me.
  9. Ron I talked with the guy. He has all West Hurley items going with the gun only. But it's a nice West Hurley 1928 that he has for sale. Thanks for the lead, Bart.
  10. I really wanted one with serial numbers on both sides. Newer ones only have one side marked. So really I'm wanting an early Kahr drum. I have West Hurley drums with serial numbers, so I'm needed Kahr drums to add to my collection. Some members have these so I thought I would ask. It's rare that a double sided serial number Kahr drum would be on GB. I've been looking for a long time. Thank you.
  11. Looking to purchase a Kahr 100 round drum. I prefer one that has serial numbers on both sides but will consider a drum with just one side with a serial number. Contact me with price and condition. Thank you.
  12. I think the most famous part of the whole house was the concrete porch where the Feds showed off all the the Barker guns. I hope they save that with the house.
  13. Last summer a local metal detecting club spent the day detecting around the house and yard. Also, they went inside to video the interior. Fairly nice job showing what it's like on the inside. They found numerous 45 ACP spent cartridges and many 38 cal casings around the house. It's great they are preserving the house. The video of the finds are on YouTube.
  14. My advise is to go through Deerslayer. Dan can set up everything for you and you won't be disappointed. Mine shoots great with custom blanks through Atlantic Wall Blanks.
  15. OCM Well I initially told you that this photo had no KELLY connection. But Edward Bentz, at one time, was a close associate of Kelly and Bates. Even helping Kelly with his biggest bank job at Colfax. I did not realize that Bentz and Lebman were closely connected (thanks Hans). I wonder what happened to all of Rick's research after his death. I believe Ellen and Rick were fairly close, perhaps she knows. What a great researcher Rick was. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the research on this photo.
  16. I agree. Would really like to know. Was Lebman into silencers too? I'll have to do some research on the Prudential Savings Bank.
  17. Actually, this one has no ties to Kelly. I bought this one primarily due to the unique guns, especially the 1911 which I've never seen before. I was wondering if it was connected to San Antonio.
