  1. 100 Round drum is amazing!! It worked flawlessly on my M6 as well. He does fantastic work by the way.
  2. I received mine a few days ago and it took only about 10-15min to install. It is very nice looking and way, way more sturdy than the OEM magwell. Directions and videos made it very straight forward. Luckily, my stock did NOT need sanding...it literally was plug and play! I did several 22 round mag dumps in a row and the magwell is a champ! I was quicker at changing mags as well. Great new addition/investment for my Reising M50!
  3. Agree with two above posts. I was going to use Silver Solder, but JB Weld worked, so I didn't have to go there. Mine is a tube gun, but I fire it as well and the sight has not come off yet. On a Beretta 38A I upped the ante a bit and used the JB Marine Weld which worked even better! Fingers crossed. lol
  4. Barrel thread measure on the MP40 Beginner posted a topic in The MP38-40 - 43/44 Message Board Hi I am looking for the correct thread measure for the MP40 muzzle threading . I thought it was 15x1 but seems closer to 16mm x 1.5 RH. Can anyone confirm this, or give the "official" measure? Thanks! January 31 19 replies
  5. Hello smart smg collectors. I have a 3 compartment leather SMG magazine pouch. H. Becker & Co Berlin 1939. I think it might be for the MP28, but could use some help confirming that and finding out a value. Seems to be in excellent condition for 84 years old...
  6. The maker is Steve Burton (97one) 22one-4547.
  7. The maker is a great guy and the drums work extremely well. I bought one and have tried it in 3 different Reisings and it worked in all of them. You can put dummy rounds (I think around 8-9) as the last rounds or I just fill with live rounds and when it stops shooting you have some left in the tower. It is heavier with the drum on of course (but it gets lighter very quickly, lol) and some mag latches on Reisings are, shall we say "squirrelly", so I tend to hold the mag well and put pressure on the latch, much like I might do with a 30 round mag. I have shot it several times without holding the magwell or drum and it never fell out or malfunctioned. FWIW
  8. Variable for sure. My K is a very consistent 4 lbs and I feel "safe" with it (i.e. no accidental fires). I had to buy a different trigger pull measuring device to even measure the SW76 as mine is 12-14lbs. Just for interest, the Chauchat 1915 is 18 lbs (you really can almost hang it from a tree by it's trigger without it going off)! My record holder is the HK Vp70 SA pistol which had an absolutely brutal 20-21 lbs!
  9. Rekraps, Email and no tax stamp "Approved with conditions, see last page of PDF" Last page says "Pursuant to ATF final rule 202R-08F."
  10. I received my second of two Form 1 SBR approvals today. I did both via the dedicated arm brace eFile on Jan 22, 2023. One was approved in Feb and the second today. They were for a Micro Galil and VZ61, both of which I wanted to SBR, but didn't want to pay the $200 tax stamp. We shall see how long it lasts...
  11. Hi Jim, I assume it is the standard M65 stock? I sometimes have trouble with sights, but I have not had any trouble with my M65. I can shoot ticks off a hound dog at 25 yards! haha. Seriously though, mine is very accurate for iron sights. Do you have a photo? Go Buckeyes!
  12. Yes, welcome! IMHO, it is not the gun, it's the drum! They can be fickle, and you can buy another Kahr and it might work. Using good quality ammo like Fiocchi FMJ round nose can make all the difference as well. I tried some flat-nosed SWC and they were a little too "tall" and didn't like to exit the drum. There are few sounds as exciting as a 50 (or 100 round) TSMG drum mag dump! I realize yours is a semi-auto, so a mag dump is relative...lol. Keep a stiff upper lip.
  13. Sorry, what does AEG stand for? Great to now you had success taking them apart! I have some "reworked" Numrich drums and some older ones and they all work in my M.P. 18, I (providing I use the spacer). I sold my Luger, so no idea if they work in that.
  14. Congrats. I have had great success with the reproduction snail drums from Numrich that come up occasionally (and although cheaper than originals, they are just under$600 last time they had some in stock). I didn't look through the above manual yet, but everything I have read basically says that the snail drums are not end user serviceable. Just food for thought as the original drums are still worth good money (even if not fully operational). I do not remember the gentleman's name, but he said taking them apart and fiddling with them is not worth it. FWIW P.S. Do not lose the spacer, these are expensive and hard to find too! Loading tool is essential for the snail drums, again reproductions work well.
  15. Curtis Tactical in Ohio makes a great integrally suppressed M3 silencer as well.
  16. I read (somewhere) that the Germans may have suppressed a few, but no original suppressors have been found, but idk. I did not do it for historical reasons! haha. Did it so I would not get bad ears! lol... and just because I could. I had Tom Bowers design a custom adapter for my Vers375 can, so it could fit beneath that sight "hook". Thank you hawksnest for the video. That "ting, ting ting" sound is like mine and I personally find it annoying. haha. It is also a nose-heavy gun and with the can on, you can dig potatoes with it! I also put a removable green dot on it (using a dovetail adapter on the rear sight), so the purists can start chucking tomatoes at me now!!!
  17. Hello, My original barrel is 16mm x M1.5 RH. I made a suppressor for it... don't recommend that as it, surprisingly, is not a fantastic host gun and some worry about hanging a can off such threading! haha Unfortunately, I am not entirely clear that all original barrels had the same threading, but if yours seems closer to 16x1.5M, it probably is.
  18. Hello MFD, congrats on the auction win. I would not have bid, if I had known for sure you wanted it. rehunter put up a fight. LOL Regards.
  19. HAHA. Good catch deerslayer. That's won of the infamous backward shooting grease guns...the recoil springs are in front of the bolt, instead of behind it. Right?
  20. Jim C. Good to know. Over 3,000 rounds and no breakages, so don't jinx me! haha. I did have the ejector break already though.
  21. I have Frank, however, I do not have any secret sauce. Mine still barely sticks out when at rest, so perhaps I did not take off as much as some might? I did replace all the springs and tweak some of them. The Reising is a fickle beast to say the least! haha
  22. I wanted to get mine out and couldn't and one time while cleaning it just unscrewed. Mine has a notch (I believe at the 6 o'clock position) on both the barrel and trunnion/receiver. I tried tape with pliers and yep scratched some park! Used a small strap wrench which worked well. Mine does not seem to tighten past the notch (inherently timed). It comes loose sometimes after shooting and not others...I just tighten it by hand now. I just check it before during and after shooting, much like a silencer. I have never had an OOB event...I believe you would have FTF and extraction issues long before the barrel would come out enough to potentially cause a breech failure (but I am not going to test this for you!!!). My local SOT did have a fancy barrel and receiver holder that he made to get the barrel out safely, but he doesn't remember where it went. lol. As other esteemed colleagues on this board might say: YMMV...FWIW...and Just Say'n.
  23. Jim, I was very skeptical of this load (low weight bullet, not ball, shotgun powder, are you kidding me?!?!?) hahaha. I tried it with polymer coated SWC and it is the "secret sauce" for the Reising! Best ammo ever for that gun! It even ran in a mag that didn't work before! Gonna try it in my drum next. It also ran perfectly in my M3 gg and Mac10! You turned me into a believer. Kyle
