  1. Having been an officer for over twenty years, this kind of thing turns my stomach. She should sue the city, police department and the individual officers involved personally for damages for illegal search and seizure . The city will worm their way out of it and leave the individual officers hanging for their actions. Which they should. Then file suit in federal court for rights violations. Makes you proud to be an American doesn't it.
  2. When I was in high school I had heard that one of my classmates grand father worked for Capone. The family farm was just south of the high school. Later in life after reading about the Capone mob I found it was true. The old saying "There's more than corn planted in Indiana" just may be true
  3. That went fast. Maybe I should sell mine. Dan Block did the work. http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j382/SSgt1974/Thompson2.jpg
  4. I think it should have been cut with a torch displacing at least 1/4 inch material at the cuts per ATF rules ". A proper method of destroying this firearm is to cut the receiver into separate pieces as follows. All cutting must be done with a cutting torch having a tip of sufficient size to displace at least 1/4 inch of material at each location. Cutting by means of a bandsaw or cut-off wheel does not ensure destruction." I would run like the wind from this one.
  5. Send me a PM with your address. I have one and don't need it since Deerslayer finished mine.
  6. Sorry to say, I was "got" by Craig from Granby. For the sum of $34.00. I ended up with a cross bolt stock that I did not purchase on Gunbroker.com. and Mr. Craig Williams or what ever his name is. Ended up with an e-mail that would make a longshoreman blush. The phone number is the same. And he had an e-mail of cwilliamsco@gmail.com This is the address he gave. Craig Williams PO box 1333 granby colorado 80446
  7. I have 28 with a cross bolt and hardware that came from Bulgaria. I just purchased a non cross bolt from Colorado. And another complete hardware set, again from Bulgaria. The stock from Colorado comes with the horizontal fore arm for $29.00. It has not arrived yet but looked good in the photo.
  8. The hole was in the front off center. No one was wearing the vest. The point being, the test was a failure and covered up
  9. I also saw the change in firearms. The producers have a habit of doing this. Several years ago I watched a man test a new type of body armor for the military. I won't say his name but he whispers alot. After shooting the vest it was plain to see that one round had penetrated. He placed his finger over the hole in a quick manner, and kept talking.
  10. Great looking gun. Who did the rocker pivot / bolt hold modification? What stain & finish did you use? Dan did the did the bolt hold-back. The rails for quick take down, and the removable stock. I supplied the parts. I had already installed the EZ Pull springs that Dan provided I did the stocks with Brownell's Vanderhave Fomula XIII stain as recommended on this board.
  11. I just received my Kahr back from Dan. I got the works. I couldn't be happier. Being retired, I know that I could never afford a Colt, Savage, or even a West Hurley. I have something that is almost what I held as a kid at my fathers police department. I come to this board to read all of the information I can about the Thompson. Plus there are some very knowledgeable people on here. And it can get very entertaining on here. http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j382/S...pg?t=1299237710 http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/j382/S...pg?t=1299237710
  12. Hawkeye Joe you'r right. I have the DVD, but I will be tuned in tonight. Love the sound of the clips ejecting from the M-!
  13. "And I agree with motorcar! Perhaps they should have engraved Hoover wearing a dress on it instead! haha" Hoover was not a cross dresser, he was working undercover!
  14. I think he liked the Thompson. Didn't he carry one in the movie Battleground?
