  1. I have been told that the one piece unmarked blued knurled actuator I have listed above may be a later style colt 1928 actuator

could that be correct? Did colt make 1928 one piece actuators?

The 1 piece Colt era actuators have the letter “Y” stamped on them.

Hugh, Without photos we cannot tell if the actuator is a West Hurley or something else.  If I missed the photo my bad.  If not not please post it and we an assist you.  Colt, Auto Ordnance and Savage each had different knurling patterns as did the later WHs.

Hugh, I hot seen one like that before.  The Key hole looks like a COLT era actuator.  Not positive on the knurling.  Post a photo from the top.  It looks like a one piece and not a two piece that was brazed together.  If a two piece you should be able to see to round marks on the top or bottom.

Is there a line on it anywhere the top where it may have been cast?  Please post photos of the top, bottom and back end.

Thanks in advance.

I think it MAY be a current made repro being sold by Waffenmeister's Bunker.

https://www.waffenmeisters.com/thompson-bolt-actuator-1928-smg-p-327-1?search=knurled actuator  looks like they go for $89.00
