  1. Here's one of Rick's Sterlings I had out last weekend doing some bullet weight vs ROF testing... https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/nBiCxJuMyYKZWc-UqXzLfMAlm7rlD0uZbExleFOnmvnqUawP7TKPE_UxmPVTdk50HGnnmRGcW6DXOtNUqP-d2UzUHAsHp5sAsW4a14uEakwdLySBL5_TLTvsOd_-VDypG_1-YJCJoAhjsVC0UzPA0LSL0NDDjINO_yBQkHcDSL8x6TWSXLgqJjfMhkry0olBWC-nOr3DfPituvyervFbFuMuu_CBOv216p1jLrTWY8vWubeb2U0D8PVR5HFuC9uOSL8B30Kd-1heotDKXQNg8yBdRsK6JwhIYRFtwc4hZhhFqzm3JjW1UjpYxzNhquQFzudx8RjolFFo5KHCHO4oPGx0NMs_KwBTZ48CSDXv2CN2pZANpNhJo6JQVuz9iggvP0wp-ZwWYA4LQFO0P4SG6wNuiXCqTw_t7pwf6C5BFuaEqQ6lwmUhEw3mzYuGqbBMuodv_TRdJWzHw340Ux8jL6zvEPEtDKBcJS9ccuEjjwRbpzqb1s_pa8gqoJeKe-zguUg8WqNgc-8zSoBdl-gOzFXkIlQ9ykx178FJCnLrT7wVs4lF1hktVrucxQONqKgeRuttNumsJj5IgVkSWztawvysLYpKFimeoMU5YO7CofNkORcroVmNuh9vB_iSMGS8ObGzCKFTfSUgPGvoGHfk2bQkT0b_qhp5=w932-h1241-no
  2. Never had any luck with DGS myself (3 strikes), but it sounds like his dlo tube projects are good to go. Rick Winters and John Andrewski have been excellent in my experience.
  3. The flat black is definitely nice. Here's a transferable replica of a 1958 military Sterling L2A3 made by Rick over at CPS. He uses black Duracoat over parkerizing to resemble the original Suncorite finish used for the Sterling military guns.
  4. Yes, PDWs are a little more valuable due the premium on the SP89. For a newly made, all German pdw SBR from one of the top builders (TPM, TSC, TDyer, etc) expect to pay 7 - 8K. One with an original pdw barrel (very rare) could fetch over 9K. They are sweet guns, my favorite of the HK subguns.
  5. No difference in my experience. F4 xfer times have been running 90 to 120 days for me lately. Fastest ever for me was 6 weeks for a can in 2010. In general I thinks the good old days are here again for wait times.
  6. Yes that is hard one to find less then 10 out there or so I have been told.http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p57/tgus/619/619002.jpg Very nice, TGUS! Anyone seen or have pics of an A2 similarly designated?
  7. Two years old, but definitely of value IMO - have to thank colorado1919 for this useful post and link. Great details and insights on early M60 mods - by those who did the work.
  8. Makes sense - it is an early gun. Here's the unit in question:
  9. Anyone know the significance of an "R" at the end of a five digit serial number - 2xxxxxR? On this gun the SN is on the trunnion, and the roll maks indicate Saco - Lowell Shop. Thanks!
  10. Extremely cool! A glimpse into NFA renaissance man's territory IMO - D kit, loach, mg42, Gunny and the Creek all in a brief response to an m60D question. Sounds like that kit is a must for serious shooters...
  11. Then there's the M60D if you want to vehicle mount or get serious about shooting down those planes at Big Sandy... Anyone got one of these?
  12. Beautiful gun as I've said elsewhere. Thanks for the additional details here. Could I ask how your acquired the E6 kit - was it from from Dersert Ordnance as part of rebuild package? LMO is offering an E4 by DO built around a maremount amnesty @55K, but seems a little steep... Keep those pics and vids rolling in - they are appreciated. Hoping to see new ones on the sten, ppsh, and Thompson...
  13. Fascinating topic and thread... Here's video about the return of 8946 to Auburn and local discussion about it at the Indiana Shooters site: http://www.indianashooter.com/nfa-class-3-title-ii/33901-gun-stolen-dillinger-gang-returned-indiana.html
  14. Gotta try the eForm 4 route for the next transfer. My latest stamps took over 9 months door to door. 3 months would be like the old days...
  15. It's out of reach for a while. Eventually I may succumb... Definitely would be fun. Meanwhile someone else may shoot theirs and post about it.
