giantpanda4
Weren't there a lot of broad arrow marked actuators sent to Sweden or elsewhere as replacement parts?
Bridgeport28A1
The GB seller does not use the word Colt in his ad, only that it is a 1921 style actuator. Does the actuator knob look to be a Colt?
Arthur Fliegenheimer
Weren't there a lot of broad arrow marked actuators sent to Sweden or elsewhere as replacement parts? Yes and no. It would appear that the gunbroker ad is indeed one of the thirty 1921 parts kits sold by Richard Karlson / Sweden aka "lottalover" that he sold back in 2002-2003. The actuators all had the British Broad Arrow mark with buffing marks running along the top of the actuator. The springs were not blued. Karlson figured that British Small Arms B.S.A made the parts. Someone has already bid $850 on the auction no doubt believing these to be of Colt manufacture. Here is a pic of one of Richard's actuator from 2003. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/Polythemus/lottaloveractuator.jpg Here is the Gunbroker actuator. Oddly enough same background. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/Polythemus/GunbrokerActuatorSeptember2012.png Here is the underside of an early Colt 1921 acutator with the front cove that is of the type for sale on Gunbroker. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/Polythemus/IMAG04892.jpg Here is the Gunbroker actuator. Notice the difference in the triangle shape between the two. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b56/Polythemus/GunbrokerAcutaorbottomSeptember2012.png Edited September 8, 2012 by Arthur Fliegenheimer
