Frank Iannamico
I was watching a documentary series. At one point they showed video of Thompsons being uncrated for "Greece." However often these documentary use "representative" images that are not entirely accurate for the subject, but interesting anyway. I took the photos with my phone, not the best.

Frank Iannamico
Very cool. Which series?I stand corrected, it wasn't a WWII series; it was a documentary called Cold War Armageddon, the video of unloading the crates of Thompsons "to aid the Greeks in fighting Communist aggression." As stated before images that are not always accurate for the subject matter, could be WWII images. Cold War Armageddon, on the American Hero's channel, is a very interesting series, the TSMG video was at approximately :40 in the first episode. rpbcps
Arthur,The soldiers in your picture, bottom left, are British Parachute Regt. soldiers, serving in Greece, if I am not mistaken. Here are a few other pictures from that period. M1 fitted with a vertical foregrip? Judging by the sling attachments, I would think most of these are former British / Commonwealth Thompsons. and one from WW2, German soldiers in Greece. Stay safe Richard Edited August 29, 2020 by rpbcps

thirtyround
Image taken from rpbcps #6 post above. Interesting... This soldier obviously prefers the vertical foregrip on his M1 Thompson.
