railroader
Please bear with me if some of you find this redundant. The drum that came with my West Hurley is marked as follows: On one side it is marked Auto-Ordance Corp New York Registered in the U.S. Pantent Office On the other side Magazine Type "L" Thompson Submachine Gun 50 Cartridges Cal. 45 for 1928 Model wind to 9 or 11 clicks Now, is this a West Hurley drum, and if so how do the current production Kahr drums differ. Also, what would be considered a fair market price for a West Hurley drum. Thanks Railroader
full auto 45
Sounds WH. Prices are from $350 up to $600. And most fair better then the K drums. Most that is. Many had feed and spring problems. I have several WH "L" drums. Most work good, but a couple just don't run very well. May have to take a visit to the old drum doctor. I felt sorry for the guy and paid him 200 bucks shipped.... Just used it Saturday and it's a runner.... Of course I now have seven drums to choose from... arch stanton
I have two West Hurley 100 round consecutive numbered drums that are brand new in the boxes. What would you estimate the value of the drums? Regards Joe
full auto 45
Just sold my NIB drum for $900. I never loaded it in the gun, but put rounds in it for a photo. Not even sure if it would run. My new one, to me is #0180 and it won't run but about 15 rounds at a time. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/banghead.gif What numbers are your? SecondAmend
Mike, With the new Kahr C's at $599, that $900 may be a high price in a couple months.
full auto 45
Arch, do they run? Have you tried them? Second, I hope they work better then the "L" mistake.
giantpanda4
Where did the $599 figure come from? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cop.gif If it is real... show where you found it! I think it is speculation based on guesses, and so I want to start a rumor that they will be $200... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Mike Hammer
Phil once again hit the nail on the head. Price sounds remarkable for a dependable 'C' drum, but I'm afraid that ol' Kahr is gonna hafta show me that these things actually work first, and I wouldn't bet the farm on it. "Step right up boys and girls, see the amazing 100 rd drum, what's that you say, will it work? I swear by the undergarments of my long deceased mama that these genuine Thompson Sub-machiniey drums are gonna knock your socks off...now who'll be the first lucky fellow to step right up and take one of these off my hands for the low, low price of only $599 genuine American dollars???????????????? There's a sucker born every minute, ol' W.C. was right! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Mike Hammer
deerslayer
Well, if you call Kahr arms TEL: 508-795-3919 they will tell you that april is now the delivery time, so Feb I guess might be optimistic now. They aren't taking orders yet. I wouldn't buy one until "The Drum Doctor" checks it out and passes judgement.
NotDeaf
I’m trying to make the Shot Show in Vegas, this February. I wonder is they will have any of those drums there at the show?
Z3BigDaddy
I would pay 6 bills for one running or not just so I have one for the cool factor.... Of course with my SFAB gun it probably runs to fast for even a good working C drum...
arch stanton
I have not tried the drums so I dont even know if they work. I have had them along time. Later Joe Edited December 1, 2005 by arch stanton
Grey Crow
I'm hoping they fall somewhere under 6. LOL, and not 599. either. It would be nice at around $400, considering the price of the L at $200. But then again with the alleged R&D work it will prolly go higher. Look at the early drums that still had problems and required a trip to Merle to get them working. I feel fortunate that my 20's patent L worked out of the box. Who knows some time in its history it may have been doctored as well. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif
