full auto 45
Well my dealer talked to the BATF today and guess what. It's mine. Papers all signed and the i's are dotted(she wouldn't listen) and the t's crossed. It's all approved. I started all this on March 25,2003. That was the day I was finger printed and turned in my form to the CLEO here in Indy. Next day I got the sign off from CLEO and expressed the $$ to Chicagoland. If they mail it back today or most likely tomorrow, I should have it in hand by next week! I cannot wait to get her dusted off any burp it again. http://mikesmachineguns.homestead.com/files/my_new_M1.JPG Needless to say, I'm a happy little camper right now. Say, i was wondering... from the looks of things (videos and pictures) it appears that you have either a range that is close to your house, or you just go into your back yard and shoot!!! hey just curious... full auto 45
I am fired up,no pun intended. MP40, the range is at a friends house about 20 minutes away. The picture was taken in early april, it was 36 degrees and we had about 12 machineguns to play with. Everybody stayed outside! Oh that was fun. Brickyard, we will be going to practice soon. Tommygunner, if you move to friendly Indiana, we could try out some of those parts http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Hey PK, how about T2? aaa it might get me into some copyright law crap there More video's will be coming soon I can see. Oh well off to dream of my baby coming home. I'll post new detail pictures when baby comes home to stay.

full auto 45
Well it looks like Brickyard's guess of July 4th is the closest on the date I get it back, so conratulations! Brickyard, you win a 30 round box of ammo to fire away in my new gun. And anybody else in a 800 mile radius of Indy can bring their own ammo and run a clip or 2 in the new member of my Thompson family. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

full auto 45
Dealer called and guess what? Paper work arrived at his office today and I NOW have the baby home! It is being cleaned and oiled up right now. I will be posting more pictures when the camera battery charges! GEG stamps in several places. M.R. stamp on the buttstock and FJA stamped by the GEG stamp. Plus it has the barrel marks where it was removed and replaced. It spent about 20 some years with the B & O Railroad Police before it went to a PD in WV. The B & O RR Chief took it with him in 65-66 when he became the Chief in WV. All this is documented by the current Chief at the department. And yes my baby will be at Tracie's in August with some other goodies I've picked up. Oh I'm so happy. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Oh almost forgot. From the day I started until today....March 23-July 23. Yep, 4 months to the day. Last one was 90 days to the day. Go figure. Next one 5 months?
