  1. I had an issue where the firing pin was sticking and protruding slightly out of the face of the bolt just enough to keep the cartridge from sliding into place.. Had to take the firing pin out of the bolt and polish it up so it would move freely in the bolt.
  2. Like you my West Hurley ran fine and my worst complaint was how hard it was to separate the trigger frame from the receiver. After the PK upgrade its now smooth as glass. He told me the receiver was slightly warped just enough to bind the receiver rails at the trigger frame.
  3. I have number 0374. Purchased this West Hurley C drum when they first came out. Out of the box it didn't function well at all. Sent it to Merle and he added reinforcements to the inside of the rotor arms and changed out the spring. Drum functioned perfectly. Merle called me a few months after he initially worked on it and had me send the drum back to him so he could install an upgraded rotor spring. He said he had been loaned an original Colt C drum and was able to "study" it. He said he had upgraded his rotor springs to match the original spring tension. Rotor is still blue. Lyn
  4. We had a 28 Savage doing the same thing. Changed out the extractor and she ran great. Cycling the actuator back and forth slowly by hand we could feel the bolt hanging up as it went into the chamber. It was just enough to slow the momentum of the bolt and get weak primer strikes.
  5. Here are pictures of the reproduction spare parts pouch that I purchased several years ago. As the pictures show it is really dirty with some oil stains. Material is a yellow canvas. The spare parts are Savage and they came in the green sticky moisture proof wrapping. Kit also came with the two brushes. Really the craftsman of the pouch is pretty good and it has held up well after all these years. It was priced around 20 or 30 bucks when I got it. Reproduction or not haven't seen too many others.
  6. Found an old Roger Cox Law Enforcement Ordnance Company catalog and price list from July 10,1975 at the antique store over the weekend. Prices don't look too bad until you factor the average salary back then was about $6.00 an hour..
  7. From their website... Our slings are identical to the real ones, aside from the lack of the "Nobuckl" logo on the hooks (due to copyright concerns)
  8. Here are pictures both inside and out of the flipper type mechanism on the left side plate that was made reference to. This is from 1919 OF5 that was made on December 12 1984
