Frank Iannamico
Greetings all! I'm back working on the third edition of American Thunder III. This time it will be a hardback with (hopefully) a lot of color pictures. If you have any photos you would like to contribute I'm paticulary looking TSMG related factory, WWII, Korean War or Vietnam photos of your fathers, grandfathers or you. (they don't have to be in color) I'm not interested in photos that have appeared in books before. I'm also interested in photos of any unusual military or factory items. Photos need to be scanned at 400 dpi, in case I have to resize them they won't loose too much resolution. If you don't have access to a scanner email me. BTW I do not have a target date of publication, everytime I have estimated in the pass I've been wrong. Thanks! Then I had that slide made into a picture. Then I took a picture of that picture and posted it here.I could send the original 35 M/M slide to you if that would help.Jim C
Kilroy
Do you have access to a scanner? If you do scan a copy of it and in the settings somewhere you can change the detail of how much resolution it scans with (measured as DPI or dots per inch). He is looking for a minimum of 400 dpi. jim c 351
Kilroy,I appreciate your attempt to help a senile old man, but I know nothing about scanners either.Jim C PS hold on. My wife just walked in and said she may be able to figure this scanner business out. Will you need the picture before the year 2023???

If the colors have stayed that saturated, it is probably Kodachrome film, the sharpest, longest lasting color film ever made.I wouldn't suggest ever risking it to the mail. Just this year, I mailed two checks locally, and they were never received. If you have a dedicated slide scanner, that would be great; otherwise, having another larger print made directly from the slide, and scanning that at high resolution -would hold more than enough detail.Just my thoughts as a photographer.
