Thompson would be the gun is in very nice shape it comes with One used 50 drum and a new 50 and 100 drum and a FBI case which is also nice? I have first shot at the purchase. Bounty1
The 2/10 issue of Shotgun News has a company called Recon Ordnance Co. in Fond du Lac, MI, asking 16G for WH 1928 w/ drum.

Roland, Headless Thompson Gunner
QUOTE The asking price is $19000.00 That is an example of Thompson greed. Nobody put that much money into a WH 28 (hopefully) but someone is obviously looking to cash in on the current prices of (as Arty would say) "real" THompsons. full auto 45
Cut and run from that deal. Or you'll take it up the old mud whistle. You can buy a real WWII gun for that. Drop a few hundred more and you can have the WWII drum to go with it. Oh and tell he greedy one, it's out of the ball park!
DC Chris
19K is way... waaaaay... to high for that. Roland is correct with his numbers. I would estimate the "C" to be a little more (maybe 1k?) but that is based on what Kahr does with the upcoming new production"C" drums. 15-16K should be fair, however - if he opens it up, he will probably get 19K for it ... due to the Thompson greed. Sad - but true. I suppose it depends on what you can afford and how bad you want it. If it was me... I would pass. It depends on how you value your time. You could easily put together that package for quite a bit less. If it is burning a hole in your pocket and you really want it, then go for it and don't look back. Truth be told - that is probably a 25K gun in a few years after the new C&R ruling. Where is Ron when you need him?!?!!? Chris. P.S. Cool nickname. DC Chris
Arch- Don't just stick to UZI's(which are great guns in themselves)!!! As our wonderful Thompson guru PK says - "There really isn't anything that quite rivals the thrill of a Thompson." I have many C3 items in my collection from MAC on up. The Thompson is ALWAYS what I come back to. It just does it for me... I suppose I cannot explain it.... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Chris.
