I've temporarily supended my disbelief and wish to order one also. Wished Kahr would take trade ins of their L drums. Thanks, Damon, for all your work on this.

O.K. boys and girls, we now know that the Sportsmans Guide L Drums are not coming in...so what about the new "Miracle" Kahr C Drum, where the hell is this new phenom? The "Miracle" is that these drums will ever work like they should. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/nutkick.gif

Just got a little tiny tidbit to pass along. The third prototype came in today and I should have some word back on the functionality from Frank maybe by tomorrow. If it passes muster at Kahr then it will go out to others involved for more testing...Tracie/Merle come to mind. I am still pretty hopefull on this. Can't wait...been so long.

Best,

Damon

If it passes muster at Kahr..............

When I read that, I knew not to bother with this anymore. Those people are nothing but a disgrace to the word Thompson.

Hmmmmm....

Been watching this one for awhile now.....

Of course, I am interested, but not quite ready to commit yet. I have a Kahr "L" drum that worked fine right out of the box, so I know it IS possible http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif , but after hearing all your horror stories, I'm hesitant on the "C" drum, especially with a "D" note as cost.

I'd have to hear reports from Merle and others before a final commitment.

That being said, if they do turn out to be higher quality that the "L" models and they are found to function decently, then I'd say I'd order one/ I only have a '28 and it runs well on almost anything. I know the "C" drum isn't proper for the '28 BUT it sounds like fun...... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

Tentative to reasonable test results, I'd say I'd do one......

A piece of something...

If it would work in my Tommy at 950 rpm, it would probably work in any Tommy.

I'm not saying that Kahr can't make a good drum. After all, they do have Merle advising them. The big question is- Will they listen to him?

If they do, they may just figure out that they can make a lot of money AND have satisfied customers!

We will see.
