  1. Tom, Your post might give one the impression that a Tusco member can not attend the TCA show unless he joins the TCA. Is that what you are saying. If you are, then a little history is in order. A dozen years ago, when the TCA didn't know where their next show would be held, I came to the rescue and put Bill Troy in touch with TUSCO officials . One of the questions I ask Bill is if TUSCO members would be welcome at the TCA show. Bill assured me that TUSCO members would be welcome. Has something changed??? Jim C
  2. Richard. The numbers assigned to WRA were 64,001-200,000, but they only made about 28,000 rifles. Ser no only stamped on receiver. most parts stamped with a small (w). Gun is a WW2 upgrade. Jim
  3. How much did they want for the drum and pouch? Did you buy it ? Jim C
  4. Is that a Lewis Gun??? In 1945 ??? WRA M1897 Trench gun. Jim C
  5. Sandman, Congratulations for adding a WRA BAR to your collection. Its my favorite. Jim C
  6. I think the M14 is a fine rifle. I went thru basic training with the M1 (1962). When I arrived in Korea the issue rifle was the M14. The squad AR man had the selector, no one else had the selector. I was a bit of a gun nut even at 18. I figured out that if the selector block was removed from the receiver , the little pin filed off, rotated the bloch 180 degrees and reassembled, the rifle would shoot FA only. One day the tank platoon was headed for the range to practise with the M3 and 1911. I ask the LT if I could accompany them with my M14. Permission was granted. I moved to the far left side of the range and commenced firing. Halfway thru the second mag I became aware of people behind me. When I looked behind me i saw the LT and several buck sgt's. The Lt asked me, a pvt, for permission to shoot my rifle. To make a long story short the Lt sent a sgt back for more 308 ammo. A great time was had by all. Now I have a SA M1a and its a nice rifle, Jim C
  7. Its a RockOla receiver with the rear sight installed backwards. Fed Ord was either the importer or the remanufacturer of the RockOla receiver. The deep pitting makes me worry that welding was involved. Jim C
  8. Bill, A few pics might help. Its possible you have a Rockola carbine that was imported by Federal ord. Jim c
  9. johnny, If you live near a gunsmith with a small lathe, he could make one out of drill rod in a few minutes. Jimc
  10. Dave, If you have a local gunsmith, non nfa, who is willing to blue while you wait , then you always retain possession. JimC
