ppgcowboy
So after the show, I was at my gate waiting for my flight to go home, when I hear my name over the loud speaker requesting that I report to the TSA security booth. When I get there a TSA agent takes me aside and asks if had any weapons in my checked luggage. I did buy a 500 year old Tanto there so I figured that is what they were all worried about, She said no do you have any guns to declare. I am thinking no I have no guns, then I remember I bought 4 stripped 28 bolts from Don at Omega, plus a few things to go on my ar15. Once I tell her about these parts she tells me they need to be in a locked case. My suitcase was locked so thought that was enough. She now tells me they will not let them through except in a locked gun case. Down the road is is a Walmart and she tells me I can go there and get a pistol case and then recheck it in and she will get me through security to make my plane. Great is all I can think. So as she takes me outside to where the taxis are I see a truck, I knock on the window and ask the driver his feelings on the 2nd amendment, he looks at me and says he just got his C&R. I tell him you are the guy I need to talk to, I am in a bind and I let him know my situation and tell him if I give $50 would he send me the parts, he says sure, I show him a few pictures of Thompsons and we had a nice quick chat. The TSA agent thought this was really funny and was I sure I wanted to do this. I told I trusted him and it will work out. She got me back through security and the parts arrived Fedex the next day. I was happy. He even calls me with a tracking number and that he was giving me change. I wanted him to keep the difference. Moral of the story lock up even your parts. Stampcollector
Well this is kinda funny to say now, I had a carry on flying out of Phoenix with two "L" drums and a colt M16 bolt in my carry on, and I went right through. The bag was heavy as hell. I was thinking that I would get questioned going through x-ray, but nope just walked right through. Of course nothing I had was a threat, but after that story who knows. colt21a
Back in 1975 after seeing Roger Cox and doing a Thompson deal.I carried on the flight back to Chicago a New York fifty round drum..in my hands no bag or box. On the flight one stewardess asked I said its a old pie plate press convertor.. She said oh never seen one.And moved on. True story the good old days. like in 1967 train out of Oak park pawn shop. Samurai sword in full view on train and bus back to Chicago, Nobody said a word. Yeah I did some crazy stuff. but nobody seemed to care. So I was good with it. Maybe if more did that today the country would not be in the place it is today and not so fwucked up..but I am a Dinosaur. Last of the T-REX. The corsette will be on the hat. I do hate auto correct.
OCM
Full Auto 45-Where do you guys sit in the plane on the escort trip to AZ. You guys sit with the press or something. Boy, that would be something, to fly to a SAR show in a Gulfstream private jet. Then the crowds at the private terminal.

full auto 45
Full Auto 45-Where do you guys sit in the plane on the escort trip to AZ. You guys sit with the press or something. Boy, that would be something, to fly to a SAR show in a Gulfstream private jet. Then the crowds at the private terminal. Sandy, No press allowed on the plane. As an escort, not the kind you are use to, we have to sit on each side of "Traveler". This keeps others at a distance. As it is a private plane, CC and guests will be the only ones on it. Pilots have been instructed to not look at "Traveler" directly in the eyes or they will be fired. Security at the show will be fine. There will be a few "undercover" security watching over CC during and after the show. PPGCOWBOY - Same spot as last year, outside by the Food stand/ Picnic Tables on Friday around 12 noon. I have some new shirts, so look for the fat guy in the Hawaiian shirt. Ron - Correct. "Travelers" location of stay cannot be disclosed at this time due to security reasons. It can be like herding cats around CC. Petroleum 1 - It is a great show. Not just the SAR, but the whole show. AZBOATER - Hope to see you there.
