WTS: COLT C-DRUM #198. TOTALLY ORIGINAL 11.5K

Posted By: Rick Rinzler in MI (24-236-254-239.dhcp.aldl.mi.charter.com)

This is one of the lowest numbered c-drums I've seen. #198. Matching. ABSOLUTELY original!!! This drum has a nice patina on the front cover, along with some on the back. No, there's no rust or pitting....simply an aging patina; adding to its authenticity as original and NOT tampered with. No dents, dings, etc. The interior demonstrates some minor bullet marks and tracks, as I'm sure "someone" must have shot with this at some point over the last 80+ years. The rotor is original nickel, and has NOT been buffed or messed with. A truly historical piece, and a pinnacle of my personal collection. These drums just don't surface these days, especially in THIS condition with THIS low number. If you're an avid collector, I don't need to tell you what an opportunity this is. (I'm not a dealer, just a C&R collector who needs to liquidate a few things for higher aspirations.)

I'm supposed to be the worst Colt whore of the highest magnitude, as considered by JJ, but $11.5K for a C drum, matching low serial number or not, is not only a baseless pie on the sky figure, but insures that the next owner would never shoot it for fear of breakage or even the chance they may drop it while shooting it.

This guy is almost double the figure for similar Colt C drums. He claims not to be a dealer, only a collector. It sure seems he is over qualified to be a dealer with that price.

On the other hand, $7.5k for a complete Colt TSMG minus receiver is not outrageous. Thank God I can now reclaim my title.

I have nothing against you Sig. I am sorry if you found my comment (asking you if you were the seller?) was out of line. Please accept my apology.

HOT NEW'S JUST OFF THE PRESS> it has been reduced to $9,500.00 now if all the thompson lune's.will just wait a few more week's,closer to christmas! maybe, just maybe he will reduce it to $2,500.00..the real price!!! the real market...

i remember in the day.when a new in box c-drum was offered to me with the original instruction card...from a sheriff.that sold one to roger cox...remember no hype because roger may have owned it wink!

and it was $2,500.00...about $1,500.00 over what a nice c-drum was selling for then.i passed on it.then later said why not!!{since i already had four c-drum's}alas it was sold to some collector in ohio.....since have heard resold for $5,000.00 thats a pretty pricey pie-pan........... and when you really think about it...for $5,000.00 you can't even shoot it.or defend house and family!!

then again that signed adolph pic on the wall, next to the kennedy can't save us either!!wink!!

oh well tick, tick, tick, till the next exciting ad from mich.maybe needs a new furnace and heating oil for the cold winter coming.... have fun. take care, ron

So, 21.... On the very first try, when you loaded 100 rounds in the baby, with one pull of the trigger, how many went downrange?

Kind wishes
Murray
