Shortened 1928

Recommended Posts

Talk about the original PDW!!! I can't imagine the shorter barrel having any issues with reliability. The concept is sound but man that would get awful heavy fast compared to an Uzi or MP5 (depending on what era these were used obviously)

15 or so years ago when the history channel wasn't garbage they had a pic of some guy shooting one from the hip from under his long coat leaning against a white ford. there was even shorter ones than that, one had maybe a 4" barrel.

I would totally do this if i found a used beater semi to sbr.

Not dinking around with my 1928a1 sbr.

over the years ive seen several of these short barrel 28s and m1s. all worked fine, no difference, in fact back in the late 70s i machined a barrel for a guy but in those days a new in wrap g.i. barrel was 20.00 or so, so nothing new here just a new generation of shooters.

Apparently this is not a unique idea. Attached is a picture from a Small Arms Review story Dan Shea wrote in June 2005 titled, Taiwan Military Museum: the Armed Forces Museum.
